Yesterday we received our travel dates and itinerary for our trip to China. This was a wonderful surprise on Monday morning as we have been thinking we would not hear for a week or two. YEAH! Everything is falling into place so perfectly.
Here is our basic schedule:
July 9th: Fly from Manchester to Newark to Beijing.
July 10th: Arrive Beijing (one day earlier than our group to acclimate Jackson a bit, and if all goes well, to surprise him with a visit to the Beijing Aquarium and Zoo!).
July 12th - 13th: Tour of Beijing and surrounding area including the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, and the Forbidden City. Perhaps we will also catch a glimpse of the Olympic Village.
July 13th: Fly to Guangzhou in the afternoon.
July 14th: "Gotcha Day"! We meet our baby Kylie.
July 15th - 22nd: Bonding time with our new little one, paper work (passport, visa, and other legal documents), local sightseeing trips (maybe another zoo), swimming in the pool, and some shopping.
July 23rd: "Swearing in" at the U.S. Consulate and an afternoon flight back to Beijing. We will spend the night there.
July 24th: Fly home as a family of four!! We will arrive in Manchester in the late evening.
As we travel, we will be posting more detailed info and lots of photos so you will be able to follow our journey to Kylie!
